Waste2Tricity's mission is:
- In a two year pilot project with our technology partners, to develop and test syngas conversion and electricity generation with alkaline fuel cells, integrating these technologies with an existing gasification pilot plant.
- To develop full engineering plans, specifications and complete negotiations for carrying out Stage 1 - setting up a plasma gasification plant with a 70k tonne untreated waste capacity, using syngas cleaning and ICE based electricity generation.
- Act as lead partner in a Special Purpose Vehicle [SPV] to raise funding for construction of the Stage 1 plasma gasification plant. This project is currently under discussion with key suppliers and potential partners. The plant is projected to be operational within three years of project funding.
- The SPV will have preferential access to the fuel cell integration technology developed by Waste2Tricity in the pilot project. This will form the basis of a Stage 2 plasma gasification plant, deploying the fuel cell and is anticipated to be complete within five years from funding.
